Our Story

Our Story

Founded in 1972, Needs, Inc. Food Pantry was born out of an unwavering dedication in meeting the most essential needs of the Cheyenne community. What started as a small, heartfelt effort to feed families in Laramie County from a modest house in downtown Cheyenne has blossomed into a powerful, lifeline resource for our entire community.

Initially fueled by the selfless dedication of volunteers and guided by a five-member Board of of Directors, Needs, Inc. has evolved into a dynamic force for good, offering comprehensive support to those in need. Today, our mission is stronger than ever as we provide vital services through our food pantry, free clothing store, hygiene kits, career closet, and low-cost thrift store. With every step, we honor our commitment to preserving dignity and uplifting lives during times of hardship.

Our Funding

Needs, Inc. is supported by grants and donations from a wide array of sources, with a significant portion of our funding coming from the heartfelt contributions of local businesses, churches, organizations, and private individuals.

Every donation, no matter the size, plays a crucial role in helping us provide food security to the families in our community who are in need. We are deeply grateful for the ongoing support that enables us to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who rely on our services.
